Manhunt underway for driver in fatal hit-and-run, FHP says

Troopers are searching for a driver who ran from a fatal crash scene early this morning in Kissimmee. The driver of the Mazda ran from the scene, leaving the car behind, troopers said. The crash happened about 5:40 a.m. on U.S. Highway 192 west near Locksley Lane when a 2006 Mazda sedan hit a man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. All westbound lanes of U.S. 192 ' also known as West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway ' are shut down. The man was declared dead at the scene.

A man walking on US-192 in Kissimmee was struck and killed early Tuesday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol said the man, whose name has not been released, was hit by a 2006 Mazda 4 door. Troopers said the driver of the Mazda fled the scene on foot. Troopers and Osceola County deputies are searching for the driver. It happened around 5:40 a.m. near Locksley Lane.

Driver sought in fatal hit-and-run in Osceola

Troopers and deputies are searching for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in Osceola County before running away, according to authorities. The driver of the Mazda ran off, and troopers and Osceola County sheriff's deputies continue to look for him, the FHP said. After hitting the man, the Mazda struck a pole and another vehicle, the FHP said. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 192 at Locksley Lane near Kissimmee. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 2006 Mazda four-door left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the bicyclist, who was in a bike lane.
