According to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office report Rabren failed to negotiate a curve while traveling on her 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle. As she attempted to correct she was ejected from the bike and it landed on top of her.
A 52-year-old Bradenton woman died Saturday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash near Haines City.
Georgene Rabren was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m. The incident occurred on the southbound ramp of US 27 to US 192 in Polk County.
According to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office report Rabren failed to negotiate a curve while traveling on her 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle. As she attempted to correct she was ejected from the bike and it landed on top of her.
Rabren was wearing a helmet.
Several motorcyclists who were riding with her stop to render aid and call for assistance. The ramp was closed for approximately three hours for the investigation.
