According to authorities, a blue Volkswagen Golf was driving hastily west on U.S. 192 near Melbourne Square mall, swerving through traffic, when it spun in an intersection and struck a concrete pole near McClain Drive.

A 69-year-old Kissimmee man died after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross U.S. 192 in a wheelchair. The fatal crash happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 192 and Oren Brown Road in Osceola County.

A 52-year-old Bradenton woman died Saturday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash near Haines City.

Georgene Rabren was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m. The incident occurred on the southbound ramp of US 27 to US 192 in Polk County.
