15-year-old dies in Myakka City dirt bike crash

Friday Jeffery Taylor Dahl, 15, was riding his Honda 230 motorcycle westbound on 61st Street East. MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Myakka City teenager has died after a vehicle ran into his dirt bike in a head-on collision on 61st Avenue East near 249th Street East. Florida Highway Patrol reported that there were no criminal charges pressed against Devine, though he was cited for improper passing. Dahl was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Devine attempted to pass the other vehicle by changing lanes and traveled into the oncoming path of Dahl's motorcycle.
