Bradley Near, 45, dies when his motorcycle collides with pickup on U.S. Highway 301 at SR 39 in Zephyrhills, Florida

Zephyrhills man dies in fatal motorcycle crash

The crash happened at 8:51 p.m. Saturday night when Near was riding northbound on U.S.-301 (Gall Boulevard) approaching State Road 39 (Paul S. Buchman Highway). According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Ford F150 truck driven by Tammy Swanson, 44, of Zephyrhills, was headed southbound on U.S.-301 when she attempted to turn left onto SR-39. Swanson's truck then collided with Near's motorcycle. Near was taken to Florida Hospital Zephyrhills where he later died of his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
