A 68-year-old Stuart woman was in serious condition late Monday after she was injured in a hit-and-run crash that morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A 68-year-old Stuart woman was in serious condition late Monday after she was injured in a hit-and-run crash that morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Janet T. Anastasia, was struck while walking in the area of Southeast Washington Street and Southeast Dryfus Avenue, FHP said. The crash happened just after 10:30 a.m. along the south shoulder of the roadway. Anastasia was rushed to Lawnwood Medical Center in Fort Pierce with serious injuries. According to FHP, Anastasia was struck by white Jeep SUV. A woman in the Jeep then drove away. The Jeep will likely have damage to its right-front headlight assembly.
