7 people seriously injured, including one child, all transported to hospitals, after two vehicles collide at the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 North and Tequesta Drive in Tequesta.

A child, four teens and two adults were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening at the intersection of North U.S. Highway 1 and Tequesta Drive in Tequesta, said Sgt. Max Lally, spokesman for Tequesta Police Department.
A vehicle traveling north on U.S. Highway 1 attempted to make a left turn unto Tequesta Drive, cutting in front of a vehicle traveling south on U.S. Highway 1. The occupants of both vehicles were injured; the ones traveling on the southbound vehicle sustained more severe injuries, Lally said.
Two of the victims, including a child, were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The other five were transported to Jupiter Medical Center.
None of the seven sustained life-threatening injuries, Lally said.
The accident is under investigation.
