A 65-year-old man is in critical condition after being hurt this afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in suburban West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Victor Aponte, of West Palm Beach, was driving in the area of Meathe Drive and Jog Road when his Toyota collided a with a Cherolet Express van shortly after 3 p.m. He was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Medical.
Martha Aponte, 60, was a passenger in the Toyota and she was taken to St. Mary’s with minor injuries. The driver of the van was identified as Robert Rivera, 64, of Port St. Lucie.
He was taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
According to a sheriff’s office report, Victor Aponte was making a left turn from Meathe Drive onto southbound Jog Road when he pulled into the path of the northbound van.
