Shari Lynn Carney, 60, killed, after her motorcycle crashes near the intersection of Coconut and Northlake Boulevards in West Palm Beach.

A woman who was seriously injured Friday evening in a motorcycle crash has died from her injuries.

The motorcycle accident occurred near the intersection of Coconut and Northlake boulevards in suburban West Palm Beach, said Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The driver, 60-year-old Shari Lynn Carney, was in the far left U-turn lane and struck the raised curb of the center grass median, according to PBSO.

Emergency crews responded a few minutes before 9 p.m. to reports of a motorcycle crash and found Carney lying in the roadway.

She met trauma alert criteria and was flown by Trauma Hawk to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition where she was pronounced deceased, Borroto said.
