The driver of the van was not cited, police said.
It was about 12:55 p.m. when Jesus Valdez, 56, allegedly ran into oncoming traffic on North Broadway and was hit by a passing van. He was pronounced dead a few hours after the collision at the hospital. His death has been ruled an accident.
