Wheeling man killed when struck by car in Palatine
According to police, Corcoran was walking south along the curb of Quentin Road between Willow and Wood streets when he was hit at about 12:58 a.m. by a 2013 Subaru Legacy driven by a 26-year-old Palatine area man. Corcoran was dressed in dark clothing and not using a nearby sidewalk, police said.
The driver, who was not injured, immediately called 911, police said.
