Two 21-year-olds died early Thursday when their vehicle collided with a semi on Interstate 55 in Channahon Township at 1:00 a.m. Both occupants of a Buick Regal were ejected from the vehicle. Tyler Fox, of Channahon, and Darcy Chobar, of Shorewood, were pronounced deceased at the crash site.
Michael J. Nardo backed out of driveway when his vehicle went off the road, striking a lampost and a tree. The vehicle then went into drive, continuing south on Foxglove Lane, across Crystal Creek Drive and through a field before coming to rest in a steep creek bed.

An 82-year-old woman was driving a Saturn on Weber Road when whe collided with a motorcycle, driven by a 58-year-old woman from Romeoville. The motorcyclist was in critical condition after the crash. Both drivers were taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for treatment.
A Joliet man has been charged for a collision that resulted in the death of a New Lenox man Friday. Jorge I. Contreras, 20, was charged with improper lane use. At 5:37 p.m.
A man was driving on Route 30 when another vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck his vehicle head-on. The man was pronounced dead soon after. Three occupants of the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life threatening.
