Van crashes through billboard, sends 3 to hospital

Three people were taken to a local area hospital after a car accident that took them through a billboard off the side of I-70, police say.
Adam Schutte was driving a 2004 Dodge Durango on eastbound Interstate 70 when he fell asleep at the wheel and the van left the road. The van traveled 600 feet and crashed through a billboard before coming to a rest on the driver's side. Adam Schutte suffered non-life-threatening head injuries. Two passengers were in the vehicle at the time, Latisha Bell and Diana Schutte. Bell suffered non-life threatening neck and back injuries. Schutte complained of chest and back pain. All were transported to Reid Hospital in Richmond for treatment.
