A Mooresville man died Saturday night after he drove his car the wrong way on I-70 in Morgan County and crashed into a semitrailer truck, according to Indiana State Police.

Troopers say 35-year-old Christopher Sweet of Mooresville was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes about 11 p.m. Saturday when his car crashed into a semitrailer operated by 27-year-old Sahal Jama of Columbus Ohio, erupting in flames.
Christoper Sweet, 35, was traveling east in a westbound lane of Interstate 70 about 8 miles west of Mooresville when the collision happened at approximately 11 p.m. Sweet’s Chevy Impala crashed into a semi truck and caught fire. Sweet was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the semi, Sahal Jama, 27, and his passenger, Mohamed Ali, 37, were transported to separate hospitals in critical condition. Authorities are investigating why Sweet was driving the wrong way.
