One dead in Lawrence crash

The crash occurred at the intersection of 59th Street and Lee Road around 1:00 pm. Witnesses tell Eyewitness News that the driver of a green van ran the red light and slammed into a white car. The impact of the crash caused the van to roll several times. Three people were in the green van:  the driver was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in unknown condition. Police say the front passenger of the van was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. A baby police estimated to be six months to a year old was taken to Riley Children's Hospital. The driver of the white car also went to Eskenazi Hospital in unknown condition. The driver was the only person inside the car.
One person has died and three others, including a baby estimated to be 6-months-old, were rushed to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Lawrence Friday afternoon. Check back later for updates.
