Driver seriously injured after crash involving Kansas City fire truck, police say
Police say the crash happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of 51st Street and Cleveland Avenue. A rescue pumper was stopped facing south in the roadway with its emergency lights on when a Chevrolet sedan crashed into the rear of the truck, Capt. Leslie Foreman, a police spokeswoman, said in a statement.
