43-year-old Topekan, Brian Benson, killed in Lyon County rollover crash
During a preliminary investigation, it was determined that Benson was traveling north in the 2300 block of K-99 highway and failed to negotiate a curve where the roadway turns east.
A 43-year-old Topeka man, Brian F. Benson, died early Monday in a single-vehicle, rollover accident in Lyon County, Kansas. Lyon County sheriff’s Deputy Steve Dall found Benson in his black, 1998 Ford Escort car on its top at the junction of K-99 and Road L, just north of Emporia. Benson was found unconscious and with no pulse still in the driver’s seat wearing his seat belt.
