Solomon Omega Smith, 28, injured, transported to hospital, after his motorcycle crashes into a hospital security vehicle at the intersection of S.W. 7th and Lincoln in Topeka.

Topeka police on Friday evening identified the motorcyclist who was injured in a crash Thursday as Solomon Omega Smith, 28, of Topeka.

Police and first responders were called about 12:45 p.m. Thursday to the crash, which occurred at S.W. 7th and Lincoln. An initial investigation indicated Smith was northbound on S.W. Lincoln and entered the intersection, where he struck the side of a hospital security vehicle before continuing to slide across the pavement.

Smith, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
