Motorcycle injury accident in southeast Topeka sends one to local hospital

A motorcycle rider was injured Thursday morning when his bike collided with a sport utility vehicle in South Topeka. The motorcycle rider suffered some abrasions to the head, Bulmer said, and the rider'€™s injuries weren'€™t believed to be life-threatening. He was being treated on the scene by American Medical Response ambulance officials, and he was going to go to the hospital, Bulmer said. Bulmer said the driver of the Trailblazer would be cited for failure to yield at right away. The accident occurred at 7:19 a.m. at S.E. 33rd Terrace and Adams.
