Emergency crews responding to a fatal car accident early Saturday morning.
Nicholas Spaulding was driving on Lexington Road, near Garden Drive at around 4 a.m. with two passengers when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the road and struck a tree. Spaulding had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers, both male, were taken to University Hospital in unknown condition.
