7-month-old baby seriously injured in rear-end collision on Versailles Road in Lexington, Kentucky
7-month-old in critical condition after wreck
For nearly two hours, the busy stretch of Versailles Road had to be shut down while Lexington police and the crash reconstruction unit investigated a crash that left the 7-month-old child in critical condition.
A Nissan with two children and a driver was rear-ended by an Intrepid at approximately 6:30 Monday night on Versailles Road. The crash occurred when the driver of the silver car slammed on the brakes; the white car to rear-end them. The impact crushed the back seat where the children were sitting. The 7-month-old child was the only one who sustained injuries in this crash. The other child in the car wasn't injured.
