Holly Fire Department workers performed CPR on the victim, but she died in an ambulance on the way to Genesys Hospital from the severe injuries suffered in the incident, authorities said.
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian collision back on October 21 that killed Valarie Owen, 54, at the intersection of North Holly and Quick roads. Authorities received a call of female pedestrian lying unconscious in the road. Owen died while being transported to a local hospital. There were no witnesses, but broken car parts were found at the crash site. Holly Police obtained an arrest warrant for the man, yet unnamed, for one count of leaving the scene of an accident causing death. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
