Mankato man dies in bike accident

A 46-year-old Mankato man died from injuries he suffered early Wednesday morning when his bicycle and a vehicle collided.

Early Morning Bicycle Accident in Mankato is Fatal

Mankato Police and Fire responded to an early morning accident between a vehicle and bicycle that left a Mankato man dead. Wednesday when 46 year old David Winters was riding his bicycle westbound on Spring Street when he entered the intersection at North Fourth Street and was struck by 21 year old Terry Lillis of Mankato.  Lillis was uninjured in the accident. Public Safety responded to the scene and found Winters not breathing and unconscious. Lifesaving measures were taken, but Winters was pronounced dead at the scene.
