Several injured when horse-drawn wagon crashes in Willmar, Minnesota
Horse-drawn wagon goes out of control in Minnesota
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Deputies found an unconscious man. He was taken to the Rice Memorial Hospital emergency room in Willmar and is in critical condition.
Several passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Most were treated and released.
Authorities say something spooked the horses, causing them to run. The out-of-control ride went about three-quarters of a mile before the wagon turned into a driveway and collided with a basketball pole. Part of the pole struck the driver, knocking him out of his seat.
