Derrek Halbach killed when his motorcycle is hit be truck.

A motorcyclist who was hurt in a crash Monday morning has died, according to Metro Police.

Police identified the man as 27-year-old Derrek Halbach of Las Vegas.

The crash happened around 8:47 a.m. at the intersection of Centennial Center and Grand Montecito parkways.

Police say Halbach was riding south on Centennial Center Parkway, when a truck pulled out from a parking lot and hit Halbach.

The driver and passenger in the truck had only minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

This is the third fatal accident in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
