Scooter rider killed in collision with Jeep, officials say
A 63-year-old man riding a motorized scooter was killed after colliding with a Jeep on Monday in Newark, authorities said. The crash took place at about 5:25 p.m. at the corner of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Carrington Street, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
