The initial investigation indicates Mary Woods (28) of Saint Joseph, LA was in the middle of the roadway of US Highway 70 when she was struck by a passing vehicle. Woods sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator.
