Pedestrian critical after being hit by car overnight
Police are looking for a car that left the scene after hitting a pedestrian early Friday morning.
The accident happened just after midnight at the intersection of Lomas and University boulevards. An Albuquerque ambulance was driving by when the driver was flagged down by someone saying that a woman had been hit by a car.
Paramedics rushed over to her and took her to the hospital, but the car that hit her was nowhere to be found. Police shut down the intersection for a few hours Friday morning.
The woman is in critical condition.
Albuquerque police are asking any witnesses to come forward. Witnesses can call police at 505-242-COPS.
