3 people killed in Lea Co. crash, NMSP said seat belts not properly worn
NMSP said a passenger vehicle driven by Miguel Angel Delacruz, 24, of Hagerman was headed east in the westbound lane of U.S. 82 when it struck a Chevrolet pickup truck lane head-on.
Head-on crash kills 3 in southeast New Mexico
An unidentified passenger traveling with Delacruz also died in the crash.
TRIPLE FATAL CRASH IN LEA COUNTY
On October 27, 2023, at around 6:00 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash resulting in three fatalities on U.S. Highway 82 near milepost 163 west of Lovington.
