Two Civil Air Patrol pilots from Albuquerque flew into winter storm conditions on Dec. 31 to assist in the search. Crews tracked down the aircraft's Emergency Locator Transmitter signal and reported the location to authorities.
Austin couple killed in New Mexico plane crash
Search crews found the missing plane about 25 miles northeast of Corona, New Mexico. The small plane disappeared off radar last week.
A small Piper PA-28 aircraft containing two people was headed from Georgetown, TX to Durango, CO when it dissapeared from flight control radar. Search teams found the aircraft two days later near Vaughn, NM, and identified the victims as Beauchamp and her boyfriend Sexton, but information about cause of the crash remains unknown.
