Woman charged with DWI, vehicular manslaughter after crash kills her passenger.

A 28-year-old woman was charged with manslaughter Monday - hours after she crashed her Infiniti sedan in Queens, killing the 29-year-old man sitting next to her, cops said.
A 28-year-old woman was charged with manslaughter Monday - hours after she crashed her Infiniti sedan in Queens, killing the 29-year-old man sitting next to her, cops said. Sharlene Numa, of Roosevelt, Long Island, was traveling east on the Belt Parkway when she sideswiped a 2012 Mercedes and careened into a tree in Rosedale around 4:15 a.m., cops said. Her passenger went into cardiac arrest and died at 4:50 a.m. at Jamaica Hospital, cops said. Release of his identity was pending family notification. Numa was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated, cops said. The driver of the Mercedes was taken to Franklin General Hospital in stable condition. The crash happened between Springfield and Merrick Blvds.
