Michael Rameden, 22, Kyle Keller, 22, killed, Blaze Unruh, 24, seriously injured, airlifted to hospital, after their pickup runs a stop sign, at an intersection near Williston, and crashes into a dump truck driven by Michael Lavigne.

Two men died and a third was seriously injured early Sunday when the pickup they were in failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a dump truck west of here, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

A Ford F-150 pickup driven by Michael Rameden, 22, Ray, was southbound on Williams County Road 5 at an unknown highway speed when it did not stop at the stop sign at the junction of U.S. Highway 2, the Patrol said.

The pickup ran directly into the driver’s side of a Kenworth tandem axle dump truck that was headed on Highway 2 at 65 miles per hour, authorities said. The crash was just before 6 a.m. Sunday about 13 miles west of Williston.

Rameden and passenger Kyle Keller, 22, Bismarck, were ejected and died on the scene, the Highway Patrol said. A third passenger, Blaze Unruh, 24, Bismarck, was seriously injured and airlifted to Trinity Hospital in Minot.

The men were not wearing seatbelts, the Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the dump truck, Michael Lavigne of Moosic, Pa., was not hurt, authorities said.
