8 people injured, 6 taken to hospital, after the No. 33 Metro transit bus collides with a car at an intersection in downtown Cincinnati.
Several hurt when Metro bus, car collide downtown.
At least eight injuries were reported when a car and a Metro bus collided downtown on Monday morning.
Police stated that there were 11 people on the No. 33 Glenway/Western Hills bus when it hit a westbound car at the intersection of Sixth and Main.
The car was shoved off the road onto the sidewalk, knocking off a fire hydrant along the way.
The bus driver and the car's driver were taken to hospitals for treatment. At least a half-dozen passengers were transported to UC Medical Center to be checked out.
"They're going to see if they can find any other witnesses. Of course, everyone on the bus was interviewed so they can give their take on what happened," Metro's Jill Dunne said.
"We have video actually on the buses, on all buses, so that we can ascertain exactly what happened and we will include that in our investigation," Metro CEO Terry Crews said.
