A man died Saturday after a motorcycle and car collided.

The man’s name wasn’t released Sunday pending positive identification, forensic investigator Jason Grom said. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Andrew M. Richmond, 20, is charged in Akron Municipal Court with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter, both first-degree misdemeanors.

Akron man pleads no contest in fatal motorcycle crash

Andrew M. Richmond, 20, of Akron, entered the plea Friday to one count of vehicular homicide, a first-degree misdemeanor. Akron Municipal Court Judge Katrina Cook found Richmond guilty and ordered a background investigation before sentencing him. The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. 

A crash occured on North Main Street and Tallmadge Avenue that took the life of a motorcyclist in his early 30s. Details about the crash have not been released. The accident is still under investigation.
