Authorities say the car struck a woman along the roadway and the driver stopped starting to perform CPR on the victim.

The incident took place at 10:20 p.m. Saturday when Max J. Leaming, 30, of McArthur, was driving a 2012 Ford Focus eastbound on U.S. 50.
