Several Fairfield County firefighters injured and taken to hospital when their fire truck rolls over and strikes utility pole.

Multiple firefighters are hospitalized after they are involved in a crash while responding to an emergency run.

According to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Coonpath Road and Old Millersport Road, on the report of a crash involving a fire vehicle at about 8:33 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies say a fire truck responded to a crash, lost control, rolled over and struck a utility pole.

Three firefighters have been transported to an area hospital with, what deputies said, appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Coonpath Road is closed between Old Millersport Road and County road 188 while crews worked to clear the roadway.
