Hackney, headed north, was traveling an estimated 55 mph in the 40 mph zone when he struck a 2004 Nissan Xterra driven by Robert Kidwell, 77, of Butler Twp., the traffic report stated. Robert Kidwell on Thursday remained in the intensive care unit at Grandview Medical Center, where his wife, Kathleen, died Monday.
