About 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Brown was driving a vehicle northbound on Interstate 44 and tried to take the ramp to Interstate 44 eastbound but failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle departed the roadway and flipped over multiple times, troopers said.

According to the police report, the vehicle was northbound on I-44 and attempted to take the ramp to I-44 eastbound and failed to negotiate the curve. The SUV departed the roadway to the right, entered into a broad slide, overturned numerous times and the driver was ejected. The passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
Christopher Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, and was taken to OU Medical Center where he died. A passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to OU Medical Center and was in fair condition.
