About 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Victor Aaron Beisel was killed when a semitruck crashed into the driver’s side of his pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
About 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Victor Aaron Beisel, 69, was killed when a semitruck crashed into the driver’s side of his pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Beisel was on the southbound shoulder of U.S. 183, three miles north of Taloga, and attempted to make a U-turn. Troopers said Beisel failed to yield to a semitruck traveling southbound, resulting in the wreck.
A passenger in Beisel’s pickup, Ben Kohrs, 68, of Laverne, was taken to Seiling Hospital, where he was treated and released with head, arm and internal trunk injuries. The driver of the semitruck, Ronald Lee Stong, 52, of Seiling, was treated and released at Seiling Hospital with arm injuries.
Troopers said seat belts were not in use in the pickup.
