Authorities have not said if anyone else was in the plane.

Witnesses said Baird took off in the plane from his home in Woodward and was only in the air for about three minutes when they saw the plane dip, climb back up to around 80 feet, and then plummet to the ground.
Dennis Dale Baird, 56 has been killed after a small aircraft crash in Woodward, Oklahoma. Dale's plane crashed into field Sunday afternoon. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
