Fiery head-on crash kills woman and two young children in Stephens County

Firefighters from Velma responded to free those trapped in the vehicles. It was not known if Welty and the two children wore seat belts.

The names of the two children, a 2-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, both of Loco, who were passengers in the car, were not released by the patrol.
A young woman and two children were killed in a head-on crash in Stephens County Tuesday. Britanie Raschell Welty, 28, of Loco, was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash which occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Pinto Road northeast of Healdton. The identities of the two children, a 2-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, who were passengers in Welty's vehicle, have not been released. Welty was traveling southbound when for unknown reasons she crossed the center line and collided head-on wth a tractor-trailer driven by Ronald Ollis, 46. Ollis was transported to OU Medical Center where he was treated and released. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.
