Troy McGee, 57, killed, after he is struck by a pickup, that fled the scene, while walking on Cache Road in Lawton.

A man died early Tuesday after being struck by an unidentified pickup, police said.

Shortly after midnight, two people were walking eastbound on Cache Road near 52nd Street, one in the grass and one in the street. The man walking in the street, Troy McGee, 57, was hit by a pickup and suffered major trauma, police said.

McGee was taken to Comanche County Memorial hospital and was pronounced dead about 2 a.m., police said. The other person was not injured.

The incident is being treated as a fatality hit-and-run, as investigators track down video surveillance evidence from surrounding businesses. Police said the pickup fled east on Cache road, but a description of the vehicle has yet to be released.
