Coroner identifies 45-year-old killed in fiery crash involving school bus
Officials from Fairfield County School District could not provide information on the age of the seven students that were on board.
Fatal accident in Fairfield County involving school bus
There were seven children on the bus, none of them were injured, but they were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Cook was driving an eastbound pickup truck at East Peach Road and McCorkle Road just after 4:00pm when she crashed into a westbound school bus that was attempting to turn left. While none of the students on the bus were injured, Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver was brought to the hospital, but has already been treated and released.
