Coroner identifies victim in fatal Florence hit-and-run

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One man is dead after a hit-and-run along Highway 301. The Florence County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 52-year-old Brian Romanelli of Norwood Massachusetts, and said he died shortly after 10 p.m. at a local hospital. On Friday night, troopers said a person riding a bike was hit by a Chevy truck heading south along the Highway. Investigators said shortly after the incident they arrested and charged 41-year-old Christopher Deas with felony D.U.I. and leaving the scene of a death.
