A Beaufort man was killed Thursday when his car ran off the road near Burton, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. Joseph Young, 43, was driving on Joe Frazier Road at about 8:25 p.m. when his 2002 Nissan Xterra left the road and overturned, Cpl. Sonny Collins said. Young was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol, which is investigating the wreck.
