Officials with Texas DPS said that at around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a 2022 Toyota Highlander carrying a 54-year-old and an 18-year-old from Tennessee was eastbound on US 287, about seven miles east of Claude. A 2024 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling westbound at the same time.
