UPDATE: 13-Year-Old Girl Hit and Killed by Train in Hemphill County
emphill County Sheriff Nathan Lewis confirmed a 13-year-old girl, ReAnna Wilson, was hit and killed by a BNSF train Saturday afternoon in Canadian. Authorities had previously reported the girl's name as Brianna Wilson.
Sheriff Lewis said Wilson was traveling east into town when she stopped to let a northbound train pass. Once the train had cleared, Wilson stepped onto the tracks and was hit by a southbound train.
