According to Texas DPS, at approximately 5:40 a.m. a 2004 Toyota Sequoia driven by an 18-year-old of Dalhart was northbound on US 385, eight miles north of Dalhart when the driver allegedly "failed to drive in a single lane" and veered off the roadway and entered the east ditch.
