The teenage boy that was struck by a vehicle has been taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries, medics said.

Tovar's father was also deported the day of the crash. He was able to get a temporary visa to come back to Austin for the funeral Thursday morning. However, the family said the father has to leave the U.S. again Friday morning.
