Fort Hood IDs soldier killed in Texas crash

Vanderwal, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, began active-duty service in April 2014 and had been with 720th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, at Fort Hood since February, the release states. He'd received the Army Achievement Medal and National Defense Service Medal, among other awards and decorations.
